About The Position

The Director of Product Management leads a team of talented product managers responsible for the full product lifecycle of Greenlee electrical tools serving commercial and industrial applications. This role is responsible for developing product strategies, managing portfolios, and supporting commercialization activities, including product positioning, launch planning, and coordination with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing Communications. This leader is accountable for translating market insight and customer needs into differentiated product strategies that drive growth, margin expansion, and long-term competitiveness. The Director operates in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment and serves as the primary business owner for assigned product portfolios, ensuring alignment from product roadmap through customer value delivery. A strong bias for action, strategic agility, and people leadership is essential to successfully deliver results and build a high performing team. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will: Product Strategy and Portfolio Management Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for Greenlee electrical tools, from strategy development through product launch, optimization, and rationalization Develop long term product line strategies and corresponding new product pipelines aligned with Emerson Professional Tools strategic priorities Lead electrification focused portfolio strategies, including data center infrastructure applications and emerging market opportunities Maintain deep understanding of competitive dynamics, customer needs, and market trends to inform strategic decisions New Product Development and Innovation Partner with Engineering, Operations, Sourcing, and Global teams to define, prioritize, and execute new product development programs Identify opportunities to incorporate emerging technologies and new approaches into future product offerings Ensure disciplined execution of development programs, balancing speed to market, cost, quality, and performance Commercialization and Market Execution Define product positioning, value propositions, and go to market strategies Lead product launch planning and execution in collaboration with Marketing Communications, including trade shows, product demonstrations, training, and promotional activities Establish and monitor market pricing strategies to drive margin improvement and market share growth Provide product expertise and support to Sales teams through training, customer engagement, and competitive tools Market and Customer Leadership Conduct ongoing market research using internal and external data sources to identify opportunities and mitigate risks Maintain current knowledge of market regulations, certifications, industry associations, and channel dynamics Build productive working relationships with key customers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders People and Organizational Leadership Build, develop, and lead a high performing team of product managers Set clear priorities and expectations to ensure effective execution across the portfolio Foster strong cross functional collaboration and accountability across the organization Who You Are: Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • Seven or more years of experience in product management, marketing, engineering, or commercial roles within a manufactured products environment
  • Demonstrated experience in product lifecycle management, new product development, and commercialization
  • Strong business insight with the ability to translate market and financial data into actionable strategies
  • Proven ability to manage complexity, prioritize effectively, and drive results in a dynamic environment
  • Experience collaborating across Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing Communications
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Legal authorization to work in the US - visa sponsorship will not be provided

  • MBA or Master’s Degree
  • Experience within the electrical, mechanical, or utility markets
  • Experience supporting data center or large-scale infrastructure applications
