About The Position

We're looking for a Director, Product Development to build amazing experiences that our users love. You'll be part of a small company of experts in their fields where you will have a clear focus and ownership space. If you are someone that works in the OTC Derivatives space (product or operations) and has a passion for product, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to make an immediate and last impact, this role is THE role for you. We are a VC-backed fintech with a live product in the regulatory trade reporting space and a growing list of institutional clients (B2B). Our product journey has started in the US with a roadmap into Canada, UK, EU, Australia, and Singapore over the next twelve months. We are a start-up on a fast paced journey to scale-up. KOR is built on leading edge cloud technology by industry domain experts and world class in-house engineering. We're on a mission to innovate B2B trade servicing starting with regulatory reporting in time for a global wave of mandated changes hitting all segments of market participants across OTC derivatives transactions. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Business, or a related field.
  • An advanced degree (MBA, JD) is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in major global derivatives regulations.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional regulatory change or compliance programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering and writing business requirements and overseeing technology implementation programs.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and the ability to use SQL for complex data investigation and validation.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience managing programs and workflows using modern platforms such as Airtable, Databricks, and Jira.
  • Experience presenting to or interacting with financial regulators and industry working groups.
  • A strong understanding of derivatives products, trade lifecycles, and the underlying technology infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the ultimate owner and senior subject matter expert for regulatory intelligence and change management for a designated set services.
  • Lead the strategic monitoring and interpretation of the global derivatives regulatory landscape.
  • Own and govern the end-to-end software development lifecycle for your product area.
  • Drive engagement with senior leaders across Technology, Operations, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Lead the translation of complex regulatory text into clear, actionable business and functional requirements.
  • Establish and maintain a robust governance framework for regulatory change within your product area.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and development to junior members of the product development team.
