About The Position

The Director of Product Development for North America Express Lane Footwear at Nike is a pivotal role responsible for driving product excellence through strategic vision and execution. This position leads the Footwear Development and Material Development teams, ensuring the successful creation and commercialization of innovative footwear products that meet consumer needs and sustainability goals. The role requires collaboration across various teams and cultures to deliver high-quality products on time and within profitability targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the footwear industry.
  • Management experience preferred with demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Proven experience in creating and activating long-term strategies through collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and results-oriented mindset.
  • High-profile communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in product testing, development, marketing, engineering, retail, or customer service in the footwear industry.
  • Passion for sports or the footwear industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Footwear Development and Material Development teams for the North America Express Lane.
  • Drive the product creation process from initial concept through to commercialization and production.
  • Ensure product development teams deliver on time products according to critical dates and specifications.
  • Translate organizational strategy into actionable goals for the development teams.
  • Apply workload management tools and metrics to make data-informed decisions.
