We are looking for a Director of Product Design to lead our core product experience. You will be responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and driving design quality for a team of talented Product Designers. In this role, you will be a key member of a cross-functional leadership team, working together with your counterparts in Product Management and Engineering to guide the team to build products that address real customer needs. You will serve as a thought leader and partner, both internally and externally, championing design as a catalyst for strategic growth. Transform ambiguity into clarity, leveraging your expertise and design process to establish structure. You proactively plan, anticipate challenges, and envision the next steps, even when they’re not immediately clear Inspire and lead, driving innovation, exploration, and a high-performance mindset while fostering continuous learning, curiosity, and a sense of urgency in delivering transformative results Think strategically, framing designs within the broader customer experience, while also being adept at diving into detailed execution Gain alignment by sharing work to stakeholders and executive leaders, facilitating review and gathering feedback Act as a strategic partner, collaborating across departments to ensure design aligns seamlessly across the holistic user experience

Requirements

10+ years of experience in Product Design with at least 5+ years of leadership experience with direct reports under your guidance and leadership, including hiring and developing talent
Demonstrated experience leading high-velocity Design teams to have meaningful impact on the customer and the business
Extensive experience leading consumer-facing Product Design design teams focused on native iOS and Android apps
Ability to create design direction and processes that balance small design iterations with larger experience changes to improve the end-to-end experience and achieve goals
A strong bias-to-action to address challenges, build and test products, and learn from failures and successes
Analytical approach to Design work, incorporating qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decision making and measure outcomes
Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
