About The Position

The Director of Procurement Operations & Travel is responsible for leading the organization’s end-to-end procurement operations and global travel programs. This role oversees procurement processes, systems, analytics, compliance, sourcing operations, and travel program governance. The Director partners closely with Finance, Legal, HR, and business units to ensure procurement efficiency, cost optimization, and risk mitigation while delivering exceptional internal customer experience. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement Operations, Strategic Sourcing, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), or related function within a mid-to-large enterprise environment
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end procurement processes, including purchasing, contract workflows, vendor management, and compliance
  • Experience supporting or owning corporate travel programs, including policy governance, vendor relationships, and spend optimization
  • Strong working knowledge of procurement systems such as Oracle, ServiceNow, ContractWorks, or similar platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze spend data, build dashboards, and generate insights to drive cost savings and operational efficiency
  • Experience driving process improvements, automation, or digital transformation initiatives within procurement or operations
  • Solid understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and procurement policy enforcement
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering closely with Finance, Legal, HR, and IT teams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver a high-quality internal customer experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the Procurement function, including purchasing, contract management workflows, internal controls, legal requirements and procurement policy enforcement.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that drive cost savings, process efficiency, and value creation.
  • Drive automation, AI and digital transformation initiatives to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency.
  • Oversee procurement systems (Oracle, ServiceNow, Green Cabbage and ContractWorks) and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting structures to measure spending, savings, compliance, and operational health.
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing Category Managers, Internal Controls, Finance, Legal, IT and Accounting to align P2P with broader organizational goals and ensure systems and processes are efficient.
  • Manage the corporate travel program including policy governance, vendor management, travel booking tools, duty of care, and traveler satisfaction.
  • Lead relationships with travel partners (TMC, airlines, hotels, car rental, travel technology providers).
  • Oversee travel spend analysis and reporting; develop savings initiatives and ensure compliance to corporate policy.
  • Ensure the travel program meets safety, security, and cost optimization standards.
  • Evaluate emerging travel technologies and recommend improvements to the traveler experience.
  • Develops, maintains, and delivers comprehensive business travel spend reporting to help budget owners make informed decisions on spending trends, cost‑saving opportunities, budget‑to‑actual performance, and policy compliance.
  • Maintain a robust supplier governance framework covering performance management, compliance, risk, and performance improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit controls.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high performing procurement operations and travel team.
  • Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and spend optimization.
  • Partner with Legal on contract lifecycle management and policies.
  • Partner with business units to understand needs and deliver service excellence.
