The Director, Global Procurement, Finance Category Lead is responsible for maximizing value for business partners by leading procurement strategy, execution, and stakeholder engagement for all Finance-related categories (Audit, Tax, Treasury, Controllership, Pensions, Insurance, Cash and Asset Management, Capital Markets) aligned with critical business and enterprise strategic priorities. This role drives service excellence, value realization, and business transformation through effective relationships, innovative strategies, and operational rigor, ensuring alignment with BMS's business objectives and competitive advantage. This role partners with senior Finance stakeholders (e.g., Head of Tax, Chief Audit Officer, Controller) to develop and implement global and sub-category strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with regulatory standards. The Director will lead sourcing, supplier relationship management, and continuous improvement efforts to deliver cost savings, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.

  • Lead Global Procurement Business and Partnership Strategy for Global Finance Categories.
  • Understand market nuances to effectively develop, implement and drive global, regional, and local services strategies and processes.
  • Drive improvements in costs and service levels aligned to business needs.
  • Encourage cross-market and cross-functional collaboration to take advantage of synergies through effective business partnering and stakeholder management.
  • Develop and manage senior business relationships with Finance key partners.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with business partners to leverage knowledge, spend and procurement effectiveness.
  • Champion Procurement initiatives to better support business needs.
  • Drive co-ownership of initiatives and accountability based on agreed upon strategies.

  • Ensure excellence in delivery of Finance initiatives that maximize corporate, business, and functional priorities and objectives.
  • Work with the Senior Director to ensure all escalated issues with respect to quality, performance or supply are resolved.
  • Provide business expertise and strategic and thought leadership to promote a high level of partnership, credibility and trust.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement and idea innovation to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Engage with matrix teams to align strategy, drive value and project delivery.
  • Develop and oversee robust portfolio of procurement projects executed in partnership with Agile Sourcing team resources.
  • Provide prioritization and governance of Finance-related Sourcing Initiatives.
  • Facilitate contract management, ensuring key agreements and contracts are reviewed to protect and advance the company's interest.
  • Track progress to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Minimum education of a B.S./B.A. is required; M.S./M.B.A. is preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of business experience in a multi-disciplined procurement position.
  • Finance-related procurement category knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional/global teams and managing senior professionals.
  • Procurement process expertise, contract management, financial, market, and supplier analysis.
  • Supplier diversity, supplier management, technology utilization, and strategic planning experience.
  • Internal stakeholder management, data/information management, category management, process redesign and continuous improvement expertise.
  • Project management and performance measurement skills.
  • Demonstrated success in driving complex initiatives and transformational programs.
