About The Position

As a Director of Process Management in Capital One Auto Sales, you will lead the Sales Line of Business Command Center, serving as the nerve center for designing, managing and improving processes that drive growth and success for our Sales Associates and Dealer partners. You will serve as the leader and subject matter expert on process improvement initiatives and strategic projects while collaborating with smart and passionate leaders to influence results that have a direct impact on our Dealer customers’ bottom line. You will monitor data trends to measure process and project effectiveness and establish necessary benchmarks or thresholds to guarantee data integrity. You will educate and secure buy-in from key stakeholders on how to leverage Lean and Six Sigma design principles to ensure flawless execution that is 100% right, 100% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or military experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in Process or Project Management
  • At least 5 years of experience in People Management
  • Demonstrated success in driving process re-engineering efforts that resulted in quantifiable time and resource savings
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex process and project strategies, influencing executive-level partners across a matrixed organization
  • Adept analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a proven ability to adapt rapidly within a dynamic, agile business environment
  • Inspiring leadership skills to motivate, develop, and drive a team to consistently deliver flawless execution on complex projects

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree in Industrial engineering, Process engineering, Process management, Systems engineering, Management, Business or Business Administration (MBA)
  • Process or Project Management certification (Lean, Six Sigma, PMP), Business Management certification

Responsibilities

  • Establishing and governing the process excellence framework across the broader Sales organization, defining key performance indicators and quality gates
  • Direct moderate to large-scale teams in the successful delivery of complex, high-impact process improvement initiatives and strategic projects
  • Design and execute a multi-year process improvement roadmap, ensuring agility to prioritize and adapt initiatives based on evolving market and business needs
  • Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Sales risk and control environments, proactively identifying emerging risks and ensuring process design is future-proof
  • Drive team preparation and represent the organization during internal and external audit and regulatory exam engagements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to provide strategic thought leadership and influence decisions that directly result in business growth and efficiency gains
  • Cultivate influential relationships with senior stakeholders to secure organizational alignment and accountability for process and project commitments
