About The Position

Google Cloud has a dedicated global function focused on accelerating business growth across the enterprise market. Google Cloud has formed a new private equity partnerships team that owns important relationships with key private equity firms globally. This team seeks to engage with the right firms to ensure that Google Cloud builds connections with senior decision-makers in enterprises via private equity relationships - resulting in unparalleled access to portfolio companies who could benefit from Google’s advanced and vertically-integrated stack of AI and enterprise cloud capabilities. As the Global Director, Private Equity, you will define and implement a highly differentiated strategy focused on delivering accelerated results from the most influential funding sources in PE globally. You will manage a team of global functional leaders who focus on strategic, select relationships. You'll also define a new scalable strategy to ensure that Google Cloud is educating the PE ecosystem about AI and enterprise advancements at scale. You will play a critical and very visible leadership role both within Google Cloud (at CEO and Board level) and in the market at large, acting as a spokesperson and ambassador to CxOs and private equity leadership - not to mention be press-approved to speak at events and programs externally. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 20 years of experience in private equity (PE) or digital native companies leading PE strategy.
  • 10 years of experience working within the PE ecosystem as a limited partner, general partner, advisor, or associate.
  • 10 years of experience developing engagement strategies and GTM motions that balance high-touch engagement with scaled programs.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance, or equivalent related experience in financial services.
  • Experience engaging with enterprise CxO decision makers.
  • Experience building and leading teams globally.
  • Experience developing comprehensive GTM strategies, including defining input and output measures to drive behavior and compensation planning.
  • Experience in organization design and leadership/people development.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement a differentiated strategy to accelerate Google Cloud adoption within key PE firms globally, driving measurable results and market share growth.
  • Lead a global team who will build and maintain strategic relationships with key PE partners, and also establish scalable programs.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and build strong relationships with PE partners.
  • Represent Google Cloud at industry events, conferences, and media engagements, effectively communicating the company's vision and value proposition to the PE community and broader market.
  • Partner with PE operating partners to institutionalize AI-driven value creation blueprints across portfolio companies.
