About The Position

Lifespace Communities is seeking an experienced Home Care Director to lead and support our private duty home care agency operations across our retirement community. This role is pivotal in growing our home care business in support of aging in place within our retirement community. The position provides leadership, oversight, and operational support to ensure high-quality and compassionate private duty home care services to produce high satisfaction and engagement scores and strong financial performance. This role partners closely with community leaders to assess resident needs, promote wellness and personal services, and oversee clinical, operational, and business functions of the program.

Requirements

  • Experienced healthcare management background required
  • 2+ years of supervisory or administrative experience in private duty home care, home health, or healthcare services
  • Strong leadership, communication, and multi-site management skills
  • RN license required

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational oversight of your homecare agency, ensuring achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), financial targets, and compliance with approved budgets and P&L expectations.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain agency leadership, including supervisors and ancillary staff, ensuring effective planning and leadership continuity.
  • Provide coaching and corrective guidance to address performance gaps and promote continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement and ethical leadership across all agencies.
  • Partner with community leadership to ensure residents are receiving best in class services and the highest quality of care leading to exceptional resident satisfaction.
  • Authorize purchase of supplies, services and equipment for Lifespace Personal Services while maintaining cost control and margin improvement initiatives within budget.
  • Serve as agency spokesperson and community liaison
  • Lead outreach, education, and referral development efforts
  • Partner with healthcare providers, referral sources, and community leaders
  • Resolve resident and team member concerns and support collaboration
  • Maintain high visibility and availability to residents, families, and partners
  • Promote personal services and wellness programs through resident education and events
  • Monitor care plans, documentation, infection control, and quality outcomes
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Provide leadership for on-call coverage and care coordination
