GE Appliances is seeking a Director, Pricing – Air & Water to lead pricing strategy, analytics, quoting execution, and price governance for one of the company’s fastest-growing commercial channels. This leader will manage a specialized pricing organization and own the processes, tools, and insights that enable competitive, profitable, and scalable growth. The Director partners closely with senior Sales and Product leaders to shape channel strategy and drive disciplined, data-driven pricing execution across the Air & Water business. Operating in a dynamic, high-growth environment, the Director oversees new customer pricing, high-volume quoting, competitive decisions, and the annual pricing cycle while elevating operational performance and commercial rigor. Success in this role requires exceptional analytical depth, sound commercial judgment, and strong cross-functional influence. The Director ensures pricing strategies enhance channel competitiveness, deliver revenue growth, and improve margins—all while leading the team and pricing roadmap that create measurable business impact. While Louisville, KY is preferred, the work location is flexible for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • 10+ years of experience in pricing, sales, finance, marketing, or other commercial disciplines.
  • 5+ years of pricing, quoting, or commercial strategy experience within the HVAC or water heater industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex commercial challenges.
  • Proven ability to engage senior leadership and drive cross-functional alignment.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or another quantitative field.
  • Experience with Pricefx, ERP pricing systems, or quoting platforms.
  • Familiarity with GE Appliances’ Air & Water product lines and the broader competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Pricing Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute the pricing strategy for the Air & Water channel in alignment with business objectives.
  • Define pricing policies, governance, and approval frameworks to ensure consistent and disciplined price execution.
  • Serve as the primary strategic advisor on pricing to Air & Water Sales and Product leadership.
  • Pricing Analytics & Insights Lead development of analytics, reporting, and performance insights that enhance pricing decisions and drive commercial outcomes.
  • Build deep expertise in Air & Water data, customer segments, competitive trends, and product economics.
  • Drive price improvement initiatives, process simplification, and automation in partnership with Digital Technology teams.
  • Quote & Price Request Leadership Oversee all quotes, job-specific pricing decisions, account plans, and off-invoice support for the Air & Water channel.
  • Ensure accurate, timely execution of pricing approvals across thousands of annual transactions.
  • Lead annual contract and pricing renegotiations, including price increases and NPI transitions.
  • Partner with Sales to train field teams on quoting strategies, margin optimization, and commercial best practices.
  • Team Leadership & Operational Excellence Lead, develop, and mentor a team of pricing managers and senior analysts.
  • Set team objectives, coach talent, and build a high-performance culture.
  • Manage key performance metrics such as quote cycle times, SLA achievement, and margin realization.
  • Partner with DT to drive system enhancements across Pricefx and Oracle ERP platforms.
