About The Position

The Director, Portfolio Management & Execution is responsible for enabling the successful delivery of the enterprise portfolio by ensuring initiatives are strategically aligned and executed with transparency, discipline, and agility. Operating within the Transformation Office, this role serves as a critical bridge between strategy, finance, and delivery, translating enterprise priorities into an executable, outcome driven portfolio. Partnering closely with senior leaders, IT, Finance, and business teams, the role leads the evolution of how the organization plans, governs, funds, and delivers change. This includes optimizing the flow of work, strengthening portfolio and execution governance, and continuously improving portfolio, program, and project management capabilities to support a product and value stream oriented operating model. The Director plays a pivotal role in balancing strategic ambition with execution realism—providing insight, structure, and decision support to maximize business outcomes, accelerate value delivery, and enable the organization to adapt in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent, related experience.
  • 8 or more years - or Bachelor's Degree equivalent plus 10 or more years.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to align the PMO with the organization’s strategic goals and influencing
  • Influence and motivate project managers and teams to achieve project success.
  • Proven experience working within Agile, Lean, or hybrid delivery models across portfolios, programs, and cross functional teams.
  • Ability to apply Agile and Lean principles beyond the team level to improve portfolio flow, prioritization, and execution outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or equivalent enterprise Agile approaches.
  • Uses inspect and adapt practices, metrics, and feedback loops to continuously improve delivery performance.
  • Comfort navigating changing priorities, evolving scope, and dynamic environments inherent in Agile delivery models.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels of the Organization
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Analyze project data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
  • Address complex problems and make informed decisions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies and project lifecycles
  • Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and managing project risks.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives and manage resistance to change
  • Navigate and shape the organizational culture to support effective project management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging project management practices.
