About The Position

Responsibilities:

Maintain and service utilities (light, heat, air conditioning, power,
plumbing and sewage treatment) & provide necessary care for these utilities
Direct staff in the day to day performance of their duties relating to
outside grounds maintenance, inside facility maintenance, general engineering
functions, safety officer duties, as well as oversight of transportation
issues related to the facility
Direct staff in the performance of their day to day job functions within
engineering, housekeeping, laundry, grounds, waste water plant,
communications and capital project services.
Maintain and service all equipment within facility laundry ensuring equipment
is functioning as needed to provide laundry services.
Perform operations and capital budgets
Coordinate all above with the administrator and all department heads and
supervisors to create a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff
and visitors alike.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent with either -

engineering degree (ME or CE options)
or certificate in engineering technology (ME or CE options)
or have equivalent training through work experience in addition to evidence
of continuing education in the fields of housekeeping & laundry

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of facilities maintenance experience,
preferably in healthcare or hospital setting. At least 2 years in a supervisory
role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with either - engineering degree (ME or CE options) or certificate in engineering technology (ME or CE options) or have equivalent training through work experience in addition to evidence of continuing education in the fields of housekeeping & laundry
• Minimum of 3-5 years of facilities maintenance experience, preferably in healthcare or hospital setting.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• 2A sewage Treatment Plant License
• NYS drivers license
• Asbestos Supervisor
• A/C & Refrigeration
• OSHA Supervisor
