Director Plant Operations - Full Time - Exempt - QVH
About The Position
Under the supervision and direction of the Vice President of Facilities and Construction, the Director of Plant Operations is responsible for the operation and oversight of all mechanical, plumbing, electrical equipment, and associated services to ensure that patients/customers, staff, physicians, and visitors have optimal physical conditions 24/7 at Queen of the Valley Hospital (QVH) and associated offsite facilities. Works closely with other leaders in the organization to create an environment and a culture to enhance the patient experience. Supervises maintenance mechanics and groundskeepers. Develops staff, and implements and maintains standard practices across QVH and associated offsite facilities at Emanate Health.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of hospital maintenance experience is required.
- Two years of management experience is required.
- Knowledge of HCAI, JC, State of California Title 22 and 24 requirements.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Current California Driver's license.
- Must be 21 years of age or older; must have two (2) years of continuous driving experience in the state of California. If a license is suspended, the experience record begins from the time of license reinstatement; must have no major convictions (i.e. DUI/DWI, hit and run, driving w/suspended license, reckless driving, eluding police, open containers, exhibition of speed (racing), negligent driving).
- Must have no more than one (1) moving citation in a three (3) year period; must have no more than one (1) at- fault accident in a three (3) year period. Accidents will be considered at-fault unless evidence is provided (i.e. police report and/or letter from insurance company) showing the incident as not at-fault.
