The Director, Planned Giving Operations in the Office of Advancement at Georgetown University is responsible for providing planned giving services throughout the University, including the main campus and medical center. There is a strong emphasis on documentation of leadership annual fund planned gifts to build a strong financial foundation for the University through philanthropy. This role also provides counsel to fundraisers throughout the organization to facilitate their engagement with donors in their respective units or areas. The Director provides counsel on technical areas such as estate and wealth planning, tax, liquid or hard-to-value assets, complex charitable giving vehicles and structures, and the financial and personal issues affecting wealthy families. Additionally, this role will support development officers when prospective donors may be considering or have the potential for gift planning as an avenue for contributing to the University.
