About The Position

The Patient Access Operations Director at Baptist Health South Florida is a leadership role responsible for overseeing operational initiatives that support all Baptist Health practices. This position involves strategic analysis, collaboration with various stakeholders, and the management of Patient Access departments to enhance operational effectiveness and improve patient experience outcomes. The director will interpret policies, recommend changes, and provide feedback to senior executives while ensuring service excellence in patient care.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Healthcare preferred with a minimum of 6 years of experience in healthcare, preferably in Revenue Cycle Management, including a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a multi-hospital/physician system required.
  • In lieu of a Master's Degree, a minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare, preferably in Revenue Cycle Management, including a minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in a multi-hospital/physician system required.
  • National Association of Healthcare Access Management, American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management, or Healthcare Financial Management Association certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with supporting/implementing large scale enterprise-wide system initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Leads, implements, and manages operational initiatives in support of all Baptist Health practices.
  • Facilitates meetings with diverse groups of stakeholders, providing strategic analysis and assessments.
  • Oversees relevant Patient Access leaders and departments, including metrics, KPIs, budget development, and process improvement.
  • Interprets policies and procedures, recommends changes, and provides feedback to senior executives.
  • Collaborates with product line leaders and executives to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Practices the BHSF philosophy of service excellence in providing professional, compassionate, and friendly service.
