About The Position

Requirements

  • BS in Pharmacy with a relevant Master’s or Doctoral degree (e.g., MS, MBA, MPH, or PharmD)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Specialty Pharmacy
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Retail Pharmacy

Nice To Haves

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field
  • Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Residency program
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership role (Director, Assistant Director, or Pharmacy Management position)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee business operations for specialty pharmacy services.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance specialty pharmacy operations that support patient safety, adherence, and optimal outcomes.
  • Lead performance improvement and cost optimization initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
  • Standardize and optimize policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Oversee retail pharmacy billing processes in outpatient specialty pharmacy where applicable.
  • Ensure effective pharmacy integration and support within interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Develop and maintain evidence-based medication use policies and guidelines, promoting safety, efficacy, and financial stewardship.
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day supervision for clinical and operational specialty pharmacy staff.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and retain pharmacy staff.
  • Manage staff performance, attendance, and development through regular feedback and evaluations.
  • Ensure effective workload distribution, job training, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the interpretation and implementation of hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
