About The Position

ROLE SUMMARY The Digital and Technology PGS Network & Automation Shop Floor Operations Insights Lead plays a critical global role in advancing Pfizer’s manufacturing transformation. This position is responsible for elevating the value of shop‑floor data across a network of 36 manufacturing sites worldwide, ensuring insight‑driven, reliable, and high‑quality operations. The role leads the development of end‑to-end data standards, delivers actionable insights, and drives enterprise integration with the PGS Operations database and unified data hub (UDH). By shaping data strategy and strengthening digital capabilities, this leader directly contributes to performance, compliance, and operational excellence across the global PGS network. In addition, the role serves as a strategic catalyst for innovation—accelerating the adoption of AI, building AI fluency across plant operations, and enabling faster speed‑to‑value through scalable, high‑impact data and analytics solutions. The position oversees major digital and automation portfolios, partners closely with senior leaders and global functional teams, and ensures stable, high‑performing manufacturing environments through strong governance and continuous improvement. Success requires exceptional leadership, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to operate with agility and vision in a complex, global ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Education: BA or BS in preferred disciplines: Information Technology, Manufacturing or Business Management. Advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years progressive experience leading global organizations
  • Experience with large scale / complex global organizations required
  • Proven experience in digital manufacturing, data analytics, and enterprise data integration.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality management, and data security.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing intelligence platforms, MES, EBR, and AI-driven process optimization.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams across engineering, quality, supply planning, and IT.
  • This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Providing Insights from the Shop Floor Lead initiatives to enable real-time data capture and analytics from manufacturing equipment, processes, and operations.
  • Consolidate visualization and dashboards to assure data trust and actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and solution architects to align analytics with enterprise goals.
  • Apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to solve operational challenges and optimize performance.
  • Setting Data Standards Define and implement data quality standards (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, reliability).
  • Maintain data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and business glossaries.
  • Establish rules and monitoring mechanisms for continuous data quality management and anomaly detection.
  • Assign data stewardship roles and ensure reliable lineage from source systems to targets.
  • Implement security tags and privacy classifications to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Integrating with Enterprise Data & Key Programs Integrate shop‑floor data with enterprise systems to ensure seamless flow from device/control layers to business applications.
  • Support integration with Electronic Batch Records (EBR) to automate compliant data transcription.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure integrations meet compliance, operational, and business requirements.
  • Expand Agentic AI programs across sites to deliver measurable improvements in performance and compliance.
  • Building a culture of excellence: Foster a strong sense of team, develop talent, and elevate digital, technical, and automation capabilities across the organization. Your mentorship will shape the next generation of leaders.
  • Delivering results that matter: Ensure our application support teams consistently meet Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and customer satisfaction goals—keeping Pfizer’s manufacturing site network running smoothly and reliably
