About The Position

The Director, People Business Partner (PBP) plays a pivotal role in bridging business objectives with employee strategies within our Medical Capability Area and across Real Chemistry. This position supports a large team with both a significant US presence and a growing global footprint. The Director serves as a strategic advisor to business leadership as well as a collaborator within the broader People team. Applicants should be within a reasonable commuting distance to Carmel, IN. and be prepared to work on a hybrid basis with a minimum expectation of two days per week in the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 7 years' progressive experience in HR/People roles with a solid understanding of best practices and employment laws.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and tactical guidance to align workforce planning, talent management, and organizational design with business goals.
  • Collaborate with business leadership in planning sessions, financial reviews, and staffing discussions.
  • Leverage CoEs and internal experts to support the Medical CA people strategy.
  • Address employee relations issues, ensure compliance with policies and laws, and collaborate with HR Operations, legal teams, and managers.
  • Implement employee retention strategies to enhance engagement and recognize achievements.
  • Foster a positive organizational culture aligned with company values.
  • Conduct talent assessments to identify high-potential employees and facilitate talent reviews and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with L&D CoE to develop training programs that enhance skills and performance.
  • Guide managers in setting objectives, conducting appraisals, and providing feedback.
  • Implement performance improvement plans and support organizational change initiatives.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics for data-driven decision-making related to talent planning and retention.
  • Present insights and recommendations on HR activities to senior management.
  • Work with the Total Rewards CoE to ensure competitive and fair compensation strategies.
