Director, People Business Partner, Popeyes, US & C Region: US & Canada Location: Miami, FL Position Overview The Director, People Business Partner (PBP) will serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to Popeyes’ US & Canada corporate leadership team. This role is responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, talent strategies, and people initiatives that enable business performance and growth. The Director will partner closely with senior leaders to align people strategies with business objectives, while ensuring a strong, inclusive, and compliant employee experience. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week. RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. This role will be based out of our brand new Popeyes office in Miami, FL (33126).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience in a senior HR or People Business Partner role.
  • Strong working knowledge of core HR disciplines, including employee relations, talent management, performance management, compensation practices, organizational design, and employment/labor laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and coach senior leaders while balancing business needs and employee experience.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess risk, evaluate alternatives, and implement practical solutions.
  • Highly skilled in managing sensitive situations, conflict resolution, and complex employee relations issues.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and change management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted, consultative relationships with senior leaders to proactively identify talent, organizational, and capability gaps; recommend solutions; and drive execution across recruitment, retention, and employee development.
  • Partner with leaders to define, design, and evolve optimal organizational structures aligned to business strategy.
  • Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational redesign.
  • Lead the rollout, facilitation, and calibration of core HR programs, including talent assessments, salary reviews, performance and target setting, 360° feedback, and engagement action planning.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment strategy, selection, and onboarding for corporate roles within the assigned client group.
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop and retain high-potential talent and build strong leadership pipelines.
  • Leverage people data and analytics to generate insights, inform decision-making, and track key performance and talent metrics.
  • Partner with Compensation Execution to manage headcount planning and budget alignment for assigned client groups.
  • Develop and execute change management and communication plans to support business transformations and people initiatives.
  • Act as a change leader, ensuring clarity, alignment, and engagement across impacted teams.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, and conflict resolution for assigned client groups.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state/provincial, and federal employment and labor laws.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to HR policies, programs, and processes to ensure effectiveness, consistency, and compliance.
