About The Position

The PE Corporate Director of Revenue Cycle (CDRC) at AdventHealth Corporate plays a pivotal role in overseeing and consulting on revenue cycle functions for all physician practices within the AdventHealth System (AHS) Physician Enterprise (PE). Reporting to the PE Executive Director of Revenue Cycle, the CDRC is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and re-evaluating revenue cycle process improvement initiatives. This position is crucial for the rollout and implementation of corporate initiatives aimed at enhancing revenue cycle performance across AHS PE practices. The CDRC will work closely with the Directors of Revenue Cycle to ensure that operating teams are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to achieve the PE Revenue Cycle Ambition, which focuses on creating clean billing claims for every patient, 100% of the time. The CDRC's responsibilities include ensuring accurate demographic data entry, verifying insurance eligibility, collecting patient responsibilities at the time of service, and facilitating precise charge entry supported by correct clinical diagnoses. Additionally, the CDRC will assist the central business office by monitoring athenahealth work queues to ensure timely resolution of items by appropriate staff within the practice. Continuous monitoring of revenue cycle metrics is essential, and the CDRC will ensure that operational management is aware of and acting upon identified deficiencies. In this role, the CDRC will provide oversight, training, and leadership for revenue cycle management across all AHS facilities. This includes a strong knowledge of athena Collector, registration, insurance eligibility, charge services, billing, collection practices for both governmental and managed care payers, denial avoidance and management, cash posting, and patient refunds. The CDRC will also provide consultation services and evaluate revenue cycle functions, making recommendations for performance improvement initiatives. Collaboration with administrative leadership and Directors of Revenue Cycle is key to formulating goals and objectives that align with the strategic objectives of AHS PE. The CDRC will work with various departments to develop strategies aimed at reducing revenue cycle defects and will oversee the implementation and utilization of athena Collector and other revenue cycle software utilized by AHS.
