The Director of Paid Media will lead all paid media strategy and execution across channels and audiences for Inspire Medical Systems, including Health Care Professional (HCP) and Patient/Consumer segments. This role is responsible for optimizing the paid media mix, driving measurable growth in high-value leads, and ensuring paid investments contribute directly to patient appointments and therapy adoption. The position requires close collaboration with Brand Creative/Content, Social Media, and Growth Marketing teams to ensure creative assets are optimized for each channel and audience.

Requirements

  • 10-15+ years in paid media leadership roles, preferably in medical device, health tech, or regulated industries.
  • Proven success managing multi-channel paid media programs for both consumer and professional audiences.
  • Proven experience leading media agency partnerships, serving as the primary contact responsible for performance, accountability, and overall health of the relationship
  • Experience managing and executing performance marketing objectives, pulling results beyond media KPIs into business realized results
  • Expertise in marketing mix modeling, attribution, and performance analytics.
  • Strong understanding of creative optimization, audience targeting, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to present to executive and senior leadership, distilling complex concepts into concise, audience-appropriate insights that drive alignment facilitate decision-making
  • Hands-on experience with major ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, DSPs) and martech integrations (CRM, MAP, analytics tools).
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, FDA advertising guidelines, and AdvaMed Code.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the paid media strategy across all channels (search, display, social, programmatic, video, native, and emerging platforms) for both patient and HCP audiences.
  • Define annual and quarterly paid media plans, budgets, and performance targets aligned to business objectives and implant growth goals.
  • Lead channel mix optimization using data-driven insights and marketing mix modeling (MMM) to maximize ROI and efficiency.
  • Oversee execution and optimization of paid campaigns across platforms (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, programmatic DSPs, etc.).
  • Implement rigorous testing frameworks (audience segmentation, creative variants, bidding strategies) to improve conversion rates and reduce CAC.
  • Ensure geo-targeting and local activation strategies align with market access, provider availability, and patient demand.
  • Own marketing mix modeling (MMM) and attribution frameworks to measure paid media impact on high-value leads, appointments, and implant growth.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting cadence for paid media performance, including KPIs such as high-value leads, appointment conversions, CAC, ROMI, and funnel efficiency.
  • Partner with Analytics and Marketing Operations to ensure accurate data capture, compliance, and actionable insights.
  • Work closely with Brand Creative/Content and Social Media teams to ensure paid media assets are optimized for channel-specific requirements and audience behaviors.
  • Ensure assets align with brand guidelines and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide input on creative briefs to ensure messaging resonates with patient and HCP segments and drives measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Growth Marketing to align paid media with organic, SEO, and app strategies for full-funnel optimization.
  • Partner with Medical Education and Events teams to amplify event-driven campaigns and integrate paid tactics into lead-gen programs.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FDA advertising guidelines, and AdvaMed Code in all paid media executions.
  • Lead development and refinement of MMM frameworks to inform budget allocation and channel investment decisions.
  • Translate MMM insights into actionable recommendations for campaign planning and optimization.
  • Educate stakeholders on MMM outputs and implications for growth strategy.
