About The Position

We are seeking a Director, Paid Media Services, to join our dynamic legal marketing team at a leading digital marketing agency specializing in the legal industry. In this role, you are the driving force behind our advanced Paid Media strategies, directly influencing our reputation and growth in the legal services vertical. You will be responsible for the strategy and delivery of all Paid Media services across Google, Microsoft, Yelp, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and OTT. You are not just an expert in Paid Media; you are a thought leader who defines best practices, fosters innovation, and inspires excellence in your team and the industry. Your strategic insight will ensure we maintain cutting-edge services, and your leadership will cultivate a skilled team dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in Paid Media marketing, preferably within a fast-paced, high-volume marketing agency setting
  • 7+ years of experience managing high-performing teams across all levels
  • Experience marketing to legal or medical practitioners highly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with Google Ads and Meta (Facebook) Ads
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at the executive level
  • Prior experience with or deep understanding of the legal industry's unique needs, highly desirable
  • Passion for staying abreast of digital Paid Media industry trends and a desire to contribute thought leadership to the agency and industry
  • Demonstrated history of driving innovation, conducting impactful tests, and enhancing Paid Media performance
  • Bias for action and ability to make decisions quickly and thoughtfully
  • Ability to set a vision and generate stakeholder buy-in

Responsibilities

  • Develop and continuously refine the agency's comprehensive Paid Media strategy and playbook, with a heavy emphasis on paid search and paid social
  • Craft the optimal structure for the Paid Media department to facilitate scalable growth, efficiency, and exceptional service delivery
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Paid Media professionals, from manager-level to individual contributors, through hands-on leadership, coaching, and advanced training
  • Lead innovative testing, rollout of new strategies, and exploration of emerging platforms or services to maintain the agency's position as an industry leader
  • Act as a strategic advisor for enterprise-level accounts, partnering with the Director of Client Success to ensure client success and retention
  • Proactively manage and expand relationships with strategic partners (e.g., Google, Microsoft, Yelp) to enhance service offerings and drive revenue growth
  • Own evaluation and procurement of tools and technology to improve automation and efficiencies in Paid Media management
  • Remain at the forefront of industry trends, sharing insights and knowledge to elevate the entire team's expertise
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with global teams to streamline processes for holistic marketing success
  • Collaborate with the Solutions team to ensure accurate and streamlined tracking and data collection across all Paid Media platforms
  • Define resource management model and participate in the recruiting and hiring process for the Paid Media Services department
  • Support the Sales team by providing expert insights for scoping and strategizing Paid Media proposals
  • Serve as client-facing partner for high-value clients while negotiating media strategies, and incorporating client feedback to drive continuous optimization and trust
  • Maintain a feedback-driven mindset, actively listening to client concerns, evolving media plans accordingly, and presenting data-backed recommendations
