About The Position

The Director for Outreach and Recruitment at Arizona State University's Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the Student Outreach and Recruitment team. This position involves strategic planning and execution of undergraduate and graduate recruitment initiatives, as well as K-12 outreach programs. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND eight (8) years of related administrative experience, including five (5) years of supervisory experience; OR, twelve (12) years of related administrative experience, including five (5) years of supervisory experience; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership for Fulton Schools of Engineering graduate and undergraduate student recruitment and K-12 student outreach.
  • Directs and coordinates daily operations for the development and implementation of a suite of undergraduate and graduate student recruitment and yield programs and activities.
  • Develops strategic plans for graduate and undergraduate student recruitment, coordinating with the eight Fulton Schools of Engineering.
  • Oversees assessment and evaluation in all areas of responsibility, developing outcomes and goals for recruitment and yield.
  • Identifies market trends and develops strategic recruitment plans and partnerships to address college needs based on enrollment goals.
  • Responsible for reporting various recruitment and yield issues to the Provost's Office, University Admissions Office, and the Graduate College.
  • Sets goals and priorities and coordinates programming based on unit, school, and university strategic initiatives.
  • Supervises and provides leadership for all reporting unit staff, overseeing hiring, training, and evaluation.
  • Interprets and applies pertinent rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the university.
  • Assists units with problem resolution and customer service issues, responding to escalated inquiries.
  • Confers with university officials and staff for budget development and strategic planning.
  • Represents the college/department on various committees.
  • Develops, maintains, and implements department policies and procedures, initiating measures to improve recruitment programs.
  • Manages the design, development, implementation, and coordination of projects.
  • Develops and maintains a communication plan for internal and external engineering recruitment stakeholders.
