Capital One’s U.S. Card Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) is seeking a Director of Operations to lead our card production and personalization organization. In this role, you will lead a team of high-performing leaders and collaborate with exceptionally talented peers within and outside of SCS; additionally, you will manage a global supplier network and execute a strategic roadmap to modernize our end-to-end supply chain. We are looking for a strategic leader and thought partner with deep industry expertise, strong people management skills, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence and stakeholder alignment within a complex, dynamic environment. Specific responsibilities will include: Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery from global supply chain partners and suppliers. Develop and implement a performance management strategy that appropriately recognizes performance wins and opportunities. Partner cross-functionally with Line of Business leaders and stakeholders to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership, drive results, ensure transparency into supplier performance, align goals and expectations, and provide a roadmap for key operational intent delivery. Serve as the Industry and Subject Matter Expert on the end-to-end card production and personalization process. Demonstrate leadership at scale: lead, mentor, and guide approximately 4 direct reports, and serve as a leader of leaders for roughly 20-25 skip-level reports and associates across multiple geographies, fostering an environment that brings out the best in every team member. On any given day you will be: Driving Operational Excellence Drive exceptional performance and operational efficiency while ensuring full adherence to risk, regulatory, and legal standards, including the development of robust business continuity plans. Monitor internal and industry trends to measure effectiveness. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks related to supply disruptions, geopolitical factors, or changes in market conditions. Manage relationships with third-party suppliers, ensuring contractual obligations are met. Collaborate with internal partners to take appropriate action where necessary to address performance or contractual misses. Distill high-level strategic intent into tactical requirements, implementation plans, and execution for process efficiency. Maintain a deep understanding of specific operations and represent the voice of that operation to business partners. Setting Strategic Direction Partner closely with Line of Business leaders to integrate Supply Chain Solutions into their objectives via: (1) Intent delivery and operational readiness; (2) Servicing strategy development; and (3) Influencing their product roadmap through insights and listening. Designs strategic programs and initiatives, partnering with project and product teams to integrate designs and develop processes that track progress, identify and address issues. Leading high impact transformation initiatives and change management contributing to the overall outcomes, definition, scoping, design, and delivery. Influencing Build and manage strong, trusted relationships with supplier partners and stakeholders across the organization. Create and deliver presentations to senior leadership, guiding and influencing key discussions and decisions. Share insights and point of view on overall supplier performance to help shape future strategy. Identify new drivers of efficiency and continue to influence innovation and transformation in a complex dynamic environment. Provide input to key leadership in support of contract negotiations and renewals.
