About The Position

The Director of Operations manages and directs the operations of multiple departments/divisions (service-lines) across sites on a daily and strategic basis. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the RRHS service-line, implementing optimal organizational structures, and ensuring efficient practice operations with the available financial and personnel resources. The Director is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and evaluating management staff, providing guidance and training, and monitoring their daily performance. Additionally, the Director develops and implements standardized processes and systems related to billing, information management, operations, patient service, and data reporting. Continuous interaction with all practices at all hospitals is essential for implementing efficient systems. The Director collaborates with leadership in strategic planning and supports Medical Directors of the service lines for which this position is responsible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospital, Public Administration or related discipline preferred.
  • Master’s in same fields desired.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in healthcare operations and leadership preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in working collaboratively with physicians and other organizational leadership.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the day-to-day operations of the RRHS service-line.
  • Devises and implements optimal organizational structure to ensure efficient practice operations.
  • Recruits, hires, and evaluates management staff.
  • Provides guidance and training and monitors daily performance of management staff.
  • Develops and implements standardized processes and systems within RRHS service-line.
  • Interacts with all practices at all hospitals on a continuous basis.
  • Collaborates with leadership in strategic planning and implementation.
  • Supports Medical Directors of service line(s).
  • Ensures compliance with RRHS quality initiatives and regulatory requirements.
  • Promotes continuous quality improvement in department operations.
  • Ensures optimal patient service and promotes ongoing patient satisfaction and staff morale.
  • Collaborates with leadership in ensuring optimal financial performance.
  • Participates in budget formulation and ongoing variance analysis.
  • Monitors operations to ensure compliance with budget and works on financial improvement opportunities.
  • Understands federal grant program requirements and ensures operational and reporting requirements are met.
  • Collaborates with Director of Physician Reimbursement and Patient Financial Services staff.
  • Implements policies and procedures for full documentation and revenue capture.
  • Coordinates orientation and training for staff on billing issues and systems.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors compliance policies and procedures.
