About The Position

The Director, Operations (Solar) will bring leadership, direction and oversight to the engineering, planning, start-up and construction phases of a self-performing construction project. They will demonstrate competencies around safe working conditions, a quality project, developing leaders, construction methods, fundamental project management, planning, budgeting, contract negotiations, procurement, engineering, managing sub-contractors/suppliers and change management. This individual must demonstrate the capability of building relationships and serving customers through excellent collaboration and communication.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of construction experience and a proven construction background.
  • 8+ years of solar construction project experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (equivalent is 8 years of construction experience) in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management or related field from an accredited university.
  • Demonstrated experience in Construction Management and leadership of people.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong leadership abilities and interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Must have a valid current driver license, eligible for corporate vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Must have a valid current passport for travel (including air travel) outside the U.S.
  • Extensive travel required.
