The Opportunity The Director, Office of the CEO is a highly trusted, high-impact role at the center of the organization. Reporting to the CEO, this individual serves as a strategic operator who ensures the CEO and President are focused on the highest-value priorities and that the Executive Office runs with discipline, clarity, and precision. This is not a traditional administrative role. It is a senior-level execution and coordination role responsible for driving alignment, managing priorities, and ensuring follow-through across the organization’s most critical initiatives. The Director serves as a force multiplier, anticipating needs, removing friction, and enabling leadership to perform at their highest level.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience (e.g., executive operations, consulting, government, military, nonprofit leadership, or similar) and direct experience working with senior executives or principals in high-performance environments
  • BA required; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives or operating in high-performance environments
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent writing, research, and analytical capabilities
  • Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and functions
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Office of the CEO, ensuring seamless execution across all executive priorities
  • Serve as a central point of coordination for the CEO and President, helping align time, focus, and decision-making
  • Manage and optimize executive workflows, rhythms, and communications
  • Support and execute high-impact special projects across the organization as needed
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on key initiatives and priorities originating from the CEO and Leadership Team
  • Track and ensure follow-through on high-priority projects and commitments
  • Identify gaps, surface risks, and proactively resolve issues before they escalate
  • Support CEO engagement with the Board of Directors and Advisory Board, including meeting planning, materials, and follow-up
  • Coordinate high-level external engagements, ensuring the CEO is fully prepared and positioned
  • Serve as a liaison across internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO
  • Prepare high-quality briefing materials, talking points, and background research for meetings, events, and decision-making
  • Ensure the CEO is equipped with clear, concise, and actionable information
  • Draft and coordinate key internal and external communications as needed
  • Own and manage the CEO’s calendar as a strategic asset—ensuring time is aligned with organizational priorities
  • Make real-time tradeoffs and decisions to optimize focus and impact
  • Anticipate competing demands and proactively manage conflicts
  • Design and manage executive-level meetings to ensure clarity of purpose, strong facilitation, and clear outcomes
  • Ensure decisions are documented and action items are tracked to completion
