Requirements

  • Master’s degree in education, youth development, social work or other related field degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in case management, youth program development, implementation and evaluation
  • Minimum 2 years’ management/supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of community-based resources, afterschool activities and opportunities available to youth and families
  • Knowledge of and strong interest in juvenile justice issues and positive youth development best practices
  • Strong public speaking, networking, writing and organizational skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and supervision to Case Management team including weekly individual and team meetings
  • Ensure the proper monitoring and documentation of participant program, including school attendance
  • Ensure treatment plans on a quarterly basis, more if indicated
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry of all participant information into the agency’s database
  • Oversee the process of developing progress update reports for the courts and/or probation
  • Provide guidance and supervision to the Mentoring team including weekly individual and team meetings
  • Create a monthly schedule of activities, culminating events, field trips and other youth development activities
  • Develop and coordinate high-quality youth development activities, including the hiring and management of all outside teaching artist consultants and partner organizations
  • Oversee the delivery of the Interactive Journaling curriculum
  • Develop partnerships with community-based organizations, provide referrals to afterschool activities, vocational opportunities and academic support
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry of all participant information into the agency’s database
  • Prepare monthly progress report on participant outcomes
