About The Position

The Director of Women's Services has 24-hour responsibility for personnel, nursing care and operations of the Women's Center which primarily includes Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, Nursery and GYN services.

Requirements

Minimum Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN required, or completion of degree within 1.5 years.
MS, Nursing preferred; MBA or other health related masters will be considered.
Minimum 3 years of experience in obstetrical nursing.
Minimum of 5 years in acute care, current experience in acute care.
Minimum 3 years of experience in nursing management at charge nurse level or higher.
Current and active BLS; ACLS & NRP
Current RN license in the State of Florida
Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Planning, coordinating, operationalizing and evaluating program growth, fiscal responsibility of the program and the quality and appropriateness of nursing care provided on the units
Collaborates with the Chief Nursing Officer in setting, implementing, monitoring and evaluating safe, high quality, evidence-based standards of care and practice
Participates on assigned hospital and medical committees.
Leads patient experience for the unit/department
Promotes collaborative relationships among nursing services, other departments, the community and medical staff.
Collaborates with Senior Management team in developing strategies for department growth
Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times
Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required
Other duties as assigned.
