About The Position
Brays Island Plantation is seeking a Director of Wildlife Management to oversee the hunting, wildlife habitat areas, and kennel operations within our private upscale community. This role is pivotal in ensuring the management of our 5,500 acres, which includes an 18-hole golf course, equestrian center, gun club, and various hunting operations. The Director will be responsible for developing the vision and strategy for departmental areas, collaborating with advisory committees to optimize amenity value, and achieving management goals and objectives. The position requires a strong understanding of wildlife management, dog training, and hunting operations, as well as excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have a degree in wildlife management or a related field, along with 5-7 years of experience managing a hunting operation. This role demands a hands-on approach, with responsibilities including staff supervision, scheduling, and training, while fostering a culture of engagement and resource sharing among employees.
