About The Position

Own and drive the end-to-end demand planning strategy for Dyson US, serving as the critical link between US Commercial leadership, Asia-based Supply Chain, and Americas Executive Teams. Set the vision for demand planning excellence and embed world-class processes to deliver against Dyson’s “Double Dyson” growth ambition. Inspire, coach, and lead a high-performing team of demand planning leaders and professionals. Steer and continuously improve the US monthly IBP (Integrated Business Planning) process for A/B grade finished goods and accessories, ensuring optimal alignment with Group strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree highly preferred (Supply Chain, Business, or related field).
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain strategy, with at least 5 years leading multi-layered teams in large-scale, fast-paced CPG or consumer technology environments.
  • Strong executive presence and proven ability to influence at C-suite and Group level.
  • Demonstrated expertise in S&OP/IBP leadership, scenario planning, and advanced forecasting systems (SAP, Anaplan, Kinaxis, or equivalent).
  • Transformational leader with a track record of building high-performing, engaged teams and driving process innovation.
  • Deep analytical capability; expert in business modelling, commercial math, and problem-solving.
  • Exceptional communicator—able to synthesise complex data and strategic insights for broad and senior audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Forge strategic partnerships with Commercial, Marketing, Group Supply Chain, and regional leadership to shape unified, customer-centric demand plans—aligned tightly to market intelligence, commercial targets, and inventory optimisation.
  • Serve as the senior chair for US supply planning and IBP meetings, shaping executive-level decision-making within Dyson US and with Group.
  • Strategic Demand Planning
  • Oversee development and sign-off of demand and inventory targets at total market, customer, and product category levels.
  • Leverage data-driven analytics, advanced forecasting tools, and sophisticated modelling to inform short- and long-term plans.
  • Set the vision for demand planning deliverables and drive best-in-class ways of working, championing process innovation and standardisation.
  • Business Performance and Continuous Improvement
  • Own end-to-end S&OP/IBP cadence for Dyson US market, continuously identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks—activating response options with agility in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Utilise advanced performance analytics to identify gaps and drive process improvements that enhance forecast accuracy and inventory health.
  • Commercial Planning and New Product Introduction
  • Direct strategic promotional alignment and assortment planning to maximise commercial impact across channels.
  • Drive scenario planning and long-range forecasting to support annual budgets and multi-year business plans.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
  • Act as primary interface for all critical demand changes to US and global ELT, ensuring leadership is informed and enabled to take action.
  • Build executive-level consensus for all demand and supply plans, managing cross-functional alignment and rapid escalation of issues.
  • Leadership and Team Development
  • Inspire, develop, and mentor a team of demand planning managers and senior analysts.
  • Drive a high-performance, results-oriented culture—setting clear expectations, providing coaching, and enabling growth.
  • Quality and Compliance
  • Oversee product pipeline integrity, including replenishment strategies, NPD timelines, and compliance checks in partnership with Quality and Audit.
