About The Position

Abraxas Youth & Family Services is currently looking for a solutions-oriented Director of Treatment Services at our Abraxas Academy program located in Morgantown, PA. This is great opportunity for you to create a new vision of treatment programming altogether! The Director of Treatment Services is a key member of the Abraxas Academy leadership team who supervises a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure that in-services programming occurs on a regular basis. As the Director, you will be empowered to develop and manage treatment services. This position provides on-site leadership and daily direction for the treatment team to ensure the highest quality of client care in a culturally sensitive and advanced fashion. The Director must possess knowledge of dual diagnosis/chemical dependency/mental health clients; age-specific client issues, limit setting and behavior management, crisis prevention and intervention techniques; knowledge and comprehension of regulatory agency standards (DDAP, DPW, CMS, Joint Commission, etc.); staff development procedures and requirements; ability to communicate orally, telephonically, and in writing; working knowledge of computer systems and various software. Must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player. Good documentation, organization and time management skills are necessary. Must be effective in decision-making and problem solving.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in medicine, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a specialty in nursing/health administration, nursing/counseling education or a clinical specialty in the human services), public administration, or other related field and 3 years of experience in a human service agency, which includes supervision of others, direct service and program planning.
  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age
  • Valid PA Driver's License

Nice To Haves

  • current licensure in PA as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or higher-level credential.

Responsibilities

  • Devising strategies and plans for the clinical department according to company standards for excellent service and growth.
  • Planning and overseeing all patient care or administrative operations and programs.
  • Develops and oversees facility operational policies and procedures in accordance with appropriate standards, rules, regulations, to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinates interfacing of clinical services with educational, medical, community services, family services, and the training department
  • Prepares appropriate reports and correspondence of all treatment services in a timely manner to ensure regulatory compliance and in accordance with applicable standards of care.
  • Assesses and monitors service resource utilization and assists with performance improvement process.
  • Ensures that programming and services are appropriate to meet the needs of the clients of the facility.
