About The Position

The Director of Treasury Management Sales is a high-impact leadership and production role designed for a strategic "player-coach." This position is responsible for driving aggressive revenue growth and expanding the bank’s commercial deposit footprint by balancing elite sales coaching with direct business development. The Director is responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Treasury Management Officers (TMOs) and Assistant Treasury Management Officers (ATMOs), managing individual and team portfolios, overseeing performance, and developing strategic sales initiatives to maximize team production. This position plays a critical role in spearheading the sales strategy, leading a team of Treasury Management Officers (TMOs) and Assistant Treasury Management Officers (ATMO) to exceed quotas, and personally landing high-value commercial relationships. The Director develops strategies and action plans to drive short‑term and long‑term growth and increase fee income. A key part of the role is ensuring Treasury Management Officers work closely with other areas of the bank, including banking centers, to build strong partnerships, win new business, and provide excellent service to clients.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies required.
  • Minimum of 8 years TM Sales experience required.
  • Minimum of 8 years Management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates proficient ability in Microsoft Office Product (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and associates within Republic Bank.
  • Excellent leadership, management and team building skills.
  • Ability to manage critical customer and personnel issues.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Must be self-motivated and work well in a team environment.

  • Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be required including occasional out of town travel.
  • Flexible work schedule may include some evenings, weekends and/or overtime.
  • Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.

  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops independent channels to prospect for new Treasury Management clients. Manages and maintains a pipeline of potential targets. Uses consultative and strategic sales skills to turn prospects into clients. Includes joint calls with sales partners.
  • Manages all elements of the Treasury Management sales cycle including business development, prospect qualification, needs analysis and close of sale.
  • Develops and manages sales team to ensure that the team's service behaviors contribute to the bank's overall strategy for the customer experience.
  • Designs customer-centric treasury management solutions and provides consultative expertise on the liquidity management cycle.
  • Develops and implements Treasury Management sales strategies, practices, and procedures for the Market.
  • Retains and grows customer portfolio with a program of service review, regular calling, and industry training.
  • Responsible for overseeing/approving proposals for junior officers.
  • Develops and maintains an on-going sales training program for TM sales officers focused on a consultative approach and trusted advisor model while utilizing tools to ensure industry expertise.
  • Collaborates with the Operations team on new product training and development of new products and services. This will include Lock Box training for existing officers as the functionality of this product changes constantly.
  • Oversees the alignment of TM Officers with banking centers and other bank departments.
  • Generates revenue from sales of Treasury Management products and services and target cross-sell opportunities for existing clients.
  • Develops an effective network of communication within the TM Officers and with key working units to ensure shared knowledge and understanding of business activities.
  • Expands existing business and provide feedback to product managers.
  • Supports the bank's strong relationship banking culture through on-going customer contact, written call reports, quality customer service and superior product knowledge.
  • Shared responsibilities in obtaining department goals.
  • Presents appropriate credits for approval following Republic's credit culture.
  • Know compliance responsibilities and particular requirements affecting your area of responsibility, incorporate these requirements into your business processes and procedures, perform ongoing monitoring and periodic self-assessments including reporting and corrective action as needed, and assure appropriate training to associates regarding these responsibilities and procedures.
