About The Position

Good Greek Moving & Storage is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Training & Development to lead the design, implementation, and execution of companywide training initiatives. This role is responsible for developing a comprehensive learning and development framework that supports operational excellence, employee growth, and consistent service delivery across all locations. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader who understands all facets of the business and drives performance through effective training, onboarding, and continuous development.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in training and development leadership, preferably within operations-driven or service-based industries.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and performance management.
  • Experience implementing and managing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership, managers, and frontline employees.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure training effectiveness and employee performance.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
  • Hands-on, adaptable leadership style with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executive leadership, management, and department heads to assess and identify company-wide training and development needs.
  • Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive training curriculum aligned with business goals, operational standards, and company culture.
  • Manage, oversee, and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring functionality, user engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of all company roles and responsibilities to ensure accurate, efficient, and effective training at all employee levels.
  • Schedule, organize, and oversee all training sessions, including onboarding programs, seminars, workshops, lectures, and individual training initiatives.
  • Lead structured onboarding programs, including orientation, role-specific training, and ongoing education throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Create, implement, and maintain companywide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs related to training and development initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain training materials such as manuals, module summaries, videos, presentations, and digital learning resources.
  • Source, implement, and manage training platforms, systems, technology, and developmental tools to enhance learning effectiveness.
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation systems to track employee performance, ensuring compliance with training standards and job expectations.
  • Continuously assess and refine training programs to align with industry best practices, operational needs, and company objectives.
  • Partner with Human Resources and leadership teams to support career development, performance management, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and industry-specific training requirements.
  • Manage and allocate the training budget effectively to maximize resources and measurable outcomes.
  • Assist with companywide operations as needed based on business demands.
  • Travel to Good Greek offices as required to support training, onboarding, and development initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management or ownership.
