About The Position

The Director of Total Rewards is a member of the senior leadership team leading the design, strategy and management of compensation, benefits, wellness and HRIS of Lazer Logistics. This role will be accountable for delivering innovative and data-driven solutions that align with current and future business priorities and direction. This role will build strong partnerships cross-functionally to ensure that total rewards programs and practices remain competitive and relevant to support employee well-being and success. This role will be responsible for compliance and budget, assigning resources, employee management and retention, contract compliance and customer satisfaction pertinent to total rewards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in total rewards including but not limited to compensation, benefits and HRIS (ie. UKG, etc.) with high-growth organizations
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership and strategic experience and budget planning
  • Builds capacity of individuals and teams through effective employee development, involvement, communication, and supervision efforts
  • 5+ years of experience of HRIS technology, systems implementation, tools and/or analytics methodology
  • Deep knowledge of core HR processes to execute and support effective and efficient operations
  • Must be flexible and adaptive to the ever-changing market and Lazer Logistics objectives and goals
  • Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial/commercial mindset
  • Solutions oriented and intuitive critical thinking and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong ethical and integrity code

Responsibilities

  • Establish, optimize, and/or mobilize available resources needed to achieve set goals through establishing metrics, developing programs, initiatives, and projects aligned with business goals
  • Work cross-divisionally to drive timely execution of specific total rewards strategies, initiatives and projects
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and periodic reporting total rewards cost components/assumptions vs budget, forecast at various organizational/job level
  • Collaborate and partner with leadership teams to establish total rewards programs/initiatives that are aligned and relevant both to market and business conditions
  • Partner with Finance and other key stakeholders to ensure effective monitoring and adherence to budget and re/forecasting initiatives
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and/or management of Lazer's compensation philosophy and strategy
  • Guide the team in conducting market analysis, ensuring pay equity, and maintaining compliance with FLSA and other regulatory standards
  • Partner with functional leaders to develop/restructure roles and align compensation practices with business direction/priorities including short- and long-term incentive plans
  • Provide expertise on job architecture, salary structures, career paths, and trends, while ensuring alignment with strategic goals
  • Oversee the management, monitoring and periodic reporting/presentation of the Employee Ownership Program (EOP) and Management Participation Plan (MPP) in close collaboration with EQT/Private equity partner
  • Ensure effective administration and monitoring of employee benefits, including retirement plans, health and wellness programs, and disability coverage
  • Lead efforts to enhance benefits offerings through data analysis, market research, and team collaboration
  • Oversee the development of communication strategies to promote employee benefits and wellness initiatives
  • Support the creation and implementation of employee recognition, onboarding, and/or educational/training programs
  • Oversee the configuration, maintenance, administration, and optimization of the HRIS (UKG) and integrations to lead people analytics initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation/knowledge base of processes, workflows and best practices in close coordination with subject matter experts and/or process owners
  • Serve as the primary project manager/liaison for system upgrades, enhancements, vendor management, and productive partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees while growing the team
  • Conducts and ensures periodic 1:1s, goal setting and performance reviews
  • Identify and communicate goals and challenges with recommended solutions and strategy
