About The Position

The Director of Thought Leadership Insights & Orchestration at Prudential is responsible for shaping the thought leadership strategy across the US business. This role aims to enhance Prudential's reputation as an industry thought leader by fostering connections with customers and decision-makers through innovative insights. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that align with the company's business objectives, ensuring that thought leadership initiatives are supported by key stakeholders and effectively integrated into the marketing funnel.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing and executing successful thought leadership strategies in the financial services industry.
  • Industry knowledge in life insurance, group insurance, retirement, or annuities.
  • Strong understanding of trends and opportunities in investing, insurance, and retirement security.
  • Critical thinker and excellent storyteller, able to translate complex concepts into compelling narratives.
  • Experience in collaborating with content creators and researchers.
  • Strong analytical skills to derive insights from data and research.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to engage effectively with senior executives.
  • B2B or B2B2C experience.
  • Advanced degree in economics or related fields (Ph.D. is a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders to develop and implement thought leadership strategies.
  • Orchestrate and facilitate thought leadership development without focusing on first-person authorship.
  • Ensure thought leadership initiatives receive support from key decision-makers across the organization.
  • Drive the use of thought leadership content through the marketing funnel, including for performance marketing purposes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, including senior leaders and CMOs.
  • Develop compelling narratives using internal and external data, along with original research, to uncover trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated execution of thought leadership initiatives.
  • Use internal expertise and data, original research, and external partnerships to create unique points of view.
  • Commission new research or develop learning agendas in collaboration with the insights team.
  • Source unique datasets and initiate research to fill knowledge gaps.
  • Work with the analytics team to develop and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of thought leadership initiatives.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in thought leadership strategies and best practices.
