About The Position
Lynbrook Restorative Therapy & Nursing is urgently seeking a Director of Therapeutic Recreation. A positive attitude and energy are a must! Experience with activities in a healthcare setting, must have experience working with residents with Alzheimer's dementia and /or Short-Term Rehab. Music talent a plus. Must relate well with the residents and facility staff as well as exhibit a desire to perform all responsibilities of this position.
Requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, supervisory and team-building skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field desired.
- Ability to use a computer and input data.
- 2+ years experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility or healthcare setting.
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist or a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Nice To Haves
- Music talent a plus.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the recreation program.
- Develop program calendars and activity plans with staff.
