The Director of the Radiologic Technology Program provides leadership and administrative oversight for a JRCERT-accredited School of Radiography. This role ensures high-quality didactic and clinical education, compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, and effective management of faculty, staff, and students.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree required
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Minimum 3 years post-ARRT certification professional experience
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience (JRCERT-accredited program preferred)
  • Current NYS Radiologic Technology license
  • Current ARRT registration

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the radiography curriculum in compliance with JRCERT, ARRT, and NYSDOH standards
  • Prepare and maintain accreditation reports, self-studies, and outcome assessments
  • Teach assigned courses and coordinate guest lecturers
  • Oversee clinical education, faculty performance, and staffing
  • Recruit, select, and advise students; oversee admissions and student records
  • Chair annual Advisory Committee meetings
  • Maintain student handbooks, policies, and program documentation
  • Manage program budget, financial records, and purchasing
  • Plan and coordinate graduation ceremonies
  • Serve as liaison to clinical sites, vendors, and professional organizations
  • Foster a respectful, collaborative learning and work environment
