About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; master's degree preferred.
  • Current Illinois Secondary Administrator's License preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years in a school-related leadership role.
  • Prior experience managing groups of professionals.
  • Successful track record in program development and execution for individuals with barriers.
  • Proven ability to network, recruit, train, and develop quality staff.
  • Ability to gather and analyze data for informed decision-making.
  • Compassionate and empathetic with creative problem-solving skills.
  • Results-oriented with a competitive drive to succeed and high ethical standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make timely decisions and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Functional use of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the school in community planning and policy-making activities.
  • Create and nurture strategic partnerships with employers and community leaders.
  • Advocate and share information with board members, funders, and stakeholders.
  • Develop strategies, goals, and objectives for the school and manage their implementation.
  • Hire, train, and coach staff to achieve strategic initiatives.
  • Create and maintain a safe and secure educational environment.
  • Lead strategic planning in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
  • Assist instructors in setting priorities and developing leadership skills.
  • Provide leadership in developing new partnerships and methodologies.
  • Ensure appropriate building management coverage during operational hours.
  • Meet required state and local education standards.
  • Work with Goodwill Education Initiatives in establishing school goals and objectives.
  • Manage and oversee the budget and fiscal activities for the school.
  • Implement effective tools for data collection and reporting.
