About The Position
The Director of the Africa Center for Strategic Studies (ACSS) is responsible for overseeing the Center's programs and ensuring alignment with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) policies and national security priorities in Africa. This role involves collaboration with various defense agencies and commands to advance U.S. interests in the region through educational programs and strategic partnerships. The Director manages all aspects of the Center, including program planning, resource management, personnel management, and organizational representation, while also ensuring the delivery of high-quality academic programs for foreign and U.S. officials.
