About The Position
The Director will provide leadership for academic support initiatives across the university in collaboration with academic departments and other student support units. The Director will be primarily responsible for the management and operation of the Academic Success Center with locations on both the Summerville and Health Science campuses as part of a team of professionals. The Director will provide leadership, direction, and advocacy for academic success programs, including peer tutoring, supplemental instruction, and academic support. The Director will work to ensure that strategies related to supporting student success will improve retention, persistence, and graduation rates, while fostering cross-campus communication and collaboration for academic support. The Director of the Academic Success Center will serve as a collaborative partner within the unit of Student Success and the Division of Enrollment and Student Affairs. The Director will work indirectly with the strategic support of the Student Success Career Academic and Professional Engagement (CAPE) Cluster model to assist with program design, implementation, relationship management, and operations.
