The Director of Technology Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all technology systems and services across the district. This includes infrastructure, instructional technology, cybersecurity, data systems, and support systems. The role ensures that technology is effectively integrated into teaching, learning, and administrative operations to support the district's mission and goals.

  • Develop and implement a district-wide technology plan aligned with educational and operational goals.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance learning and efficiency.
  • Serve as a member of the district leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of the district's network infrastructure (LAN/WAN), servers, and cloud services.
  • Ensure reliable and secure access to internet, email, and data services.
  • Manage cybersecurity protocols, data privacy compliance and professional development.
  • Collaborate with curriculum leaders to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
  • Provide leadership and support for instructional technology initiatives and professional development.
  • Supervise instructional technologies and ensure alignment with academic standards.
  • Direct the daily operations of the Technology Department, including help desk services and hardware/software support.
  • Manage technology procurement, vendor relationships, and service contracts.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and asset management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including E-rate and data privacy laws.
  • Prepare and present reports on technology initiatives, performance metrics and budget planning.
  • As well as any other duties as assigned
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology leadership, preferably in a K-12 environment.
  • Strong knowledge of network systems, cybersecurity, instructional technology and data systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication and project management skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. MCSE, CETL, PMP) are a plus.
