The Director of Technical Records at AerSale is responsible for overseeing the review and management of technical records related to aircraft and engine acquisitions. This senior-level position involves coordinating with various departments to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and providing support for aircraft leasing and sales activities. The role requires extensive experience in the aviation industry, particularly in the inspection and evaluation of large transport category aircraft.

  • Review technical records and logistical functions in pre and post review of aircraft and engine acquisition.
  • Perform physical evaluations of aircraft and engine records for due diligence in lease or purchase.
  • Assist the Technical Services Department in ensuring conformity of acquired aircraft and engines.
  • Coordinate and review aircraft/engine records needs and status information during preparation for lease, purchase, or sale.
  • Perform audit and training of maintenance representatives in support of aircraft/engine preparation.
  • Assign duties related to the preparation of aircraft and engine data storage computer files.
  • Interface and monitor contract DER's, manufacturers, and vendor engineering personnel for FAA acceptable engineering and technical data preparation.
  • Direct and manage the auditing of Life Limited Part Summaries, Airworthiness Directives, and applicable technical documentation.
  • Evaluate newly released FAA Airworthiness Directives and their impact on sales, leasing, and operational life of engine fleet.
  • Assist Executive Management and Sales personnel in support of engine sale and pre-lease activity.
  • Provide post-sale support to external customers by answering technical questions and supplying required documentation.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' experience related to the inspection of large transport category aircraft and aircraft and engine records.
  • Knowledgeable of FAR requirements related to aircraft airworthiness and conformity.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with FAA regulations and compliance processes.
  • Familiarity with aircraft maintenance and repair operations.
