About The Position

The Director of Teacher Preparation Pipelines and Partnerships at St. Cloud State University is responsible for leading and managing teacher preparation programs and partnerships aimed at diversifying the teacher workforce. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to create pathways for recruiting, retaining, and preparing teachers, ensuring that the college meets the educational needs of P-12 students. The Director will also oversee support programs for students navigating academic and licensure requirements, while fostering relationships with community colleges and school districts to enhance teacher preparation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Three years of advanced professional experience in an education-related position.
  • Ability to serve as a credible expert for policies and practices in pipeline and partnership projects.
  • Experience in strategic program development and management focused on teacher preparation initiatives.
  • Knowledge and experience in grant writing, administration, and reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge of change management and process improvement methods.
  • Experience working in social justice and racial equity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of all pipeline programs for teacher preparation.
  • Elevate the Future Teacher Academy (FTA) to a thriving national model.
  • Develop and implement teacher residency and internship models as pathways for teacher preparation.
  • Promote partnerships with community college partners to support successful student transfers to St. Cloud State University.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of pipeline, recruitment, and retention efforts and facilitate necessary changes.
  • Oversee expenses and revenues for pipeline programs in collaboration with the CoELD Administrative Director.
  • Assist with clinical field placement processes for pipelines in collaboration with the Office of Clinical Experiences and Assessment.
  • Teach college courses related to the FTA or pipeline programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with professional and community-based organizations focused on education equity.
  • Enhance Concurrent Enrollment opportunities focused on teacher preparation in collaboration with faculty.
  • Cultivate and secure donor support for student scholarships and pipeline initiatives.
  • Seek and apply for external funding opportunities to support the College's mission.
