This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with full ownership of tax matters globally. In this role you will use your experience in scaling fast growing companies to design, execute, and continuously evolve Legora’s global tax strategy as the company scales. As such you will:
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in tax, including significant experience owning or leading a global tax function
- Strong background in tax accounting, including valuation allowances, stock-based compensation, and international tax structures
- Proven ability to translate business strategy into clear tax implications and recommendations
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and executional levels in a fast-moving environment
Responsibilities
- Own and lead all tax matters across provision, compliance, planning, and strategy on a global basis
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for tax across the company
- Operate as a trusted partner to Finance, Legal, and the executive team
- Lead GAAP tax provision, tax reserves, and related disclosures
- Ensure compliance across U.S. federal, state, and international tax requirements
- Assess the tax impact of strategic, product, and commercial initiatives and provide clear, decision-ready guidance to leadership
- Build scalable processes and infrastructure that reduce manual work and enable real-time insight into global tax scenarios
- Partner closely with Legal (including the U.S. and Ireland) on tax, structuring, and commercial matters
- Work cross-functionally with Accounting, Treasury, HR, and other key stakeholders
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing tax team as Legora grows
