Position Summary As a Director in Wealth Tax & Private Client Services , you will play a key leadership role in delivering trust and estate tax services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and family offices. This role focuses on providing technical expertise, managing complex engagements, supporting practice growth initiatives, and developing talent, while collaborating closely with senior leadership on strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
  • Minimum of eight (8)+ years of experience in trust and estate taxation and private client services.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fiduciary taxation, estate and gift tax planning, charitable planning, and wealth transfer strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and lead complex engagements.
  • Proven experience mentoring and developing professionals at various levels.
  • Excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership approach.

  • JD or LL.M. in Taxation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advise high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients on complex trust, estate, gift, and GST tax matters.
  • Design and implement wealth transfer, charitable giving, and succession planning strategies in collaboration with senior leaders.
  • Manage and review complex fiduciary income tax, estate tax, and gift tax engagements, ensuring quality, compliance, and risk management standards are met.
  • Support the growth of the Wealth Tax and Trusts & Estates practice through client relationship management, cross-functional collaboration, and participation in business development initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with attorneys, trustees, investment advisors, and other external professionals.
  • Mentor and develop Senior Managers, Managers, and staff; contribute to recruiting, training, and retention efforts.
  • Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including internal training, publications, and participation in professional organizations related to private wealth and estate planning.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting trusts and estates and assist in translating changes into actionable guidance for clients and teams.
