About The Position

Director of Supply Planning manages and coordinates a team responsible for Forecasting, Purchasing, Logistics and Production Scheduling. The position requires strong planning, analytical, and excel skills with the ability to quickly analyze data and balance inventory to optimize manufacturing schedules and provide an optimal service level of internal and customer performance metrics.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of all aspects of Supply Chain.
Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite, SAP, and EDI
Above average oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage team.
Excellent organizational skills.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree preferably in Operations or Supply Chain Management.
History of self-direction, motivation and strategic thinking.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to contribute to overall success of team.
Must have strong organizational and leadership skills.
Able to work with cross-functional departments within the organization.
Good problem-solving skills.
Strong computer skills with experience using Word, Excel and Power Point.
Required to sit for long periods of time and use hands and finger, to handle product and type.

Responsibilities

Lead a large, national team that is responsible for all aspects of our supply planning function.
Work closely with 3rd party warehouses on inventory levels and customer order fulfillment
Proactively communicate to all impacted parties potential customer issues and solutions.
Optimize all aspects of supply chain to best meet needs of our customers at lowest cost.
Partner with current and potential new vendors to reduce costs and improve material lead times.
Assist production planning and shipment to maintain a case fill rate and OTIF of 98%
Lead supply planning by setting objectives, promoting communication, and fostering teamwork to meet organizational goals.
Coordinate with third-party warehouses to track inventory and ensure prompt, accurate order fulfillment through regular communication and logistics management.
Assist Finance team with ongoing Finished Goods & Raw Material inventory forecasts.
Lead Sales & Operations (S&OP) planning cross-functional forecasting and prioritization alignment.
Support all Sioux Honey Plant Managers as needed to insure their success.
Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor or their managers.
