About The Position

The Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for the implementation and ownership of all supply chain activities and processes, including, but not limited to, Sales & Operations Planning, demand planning, customer service, supply planning, scheduling, distribution & logistics, procurement of API's and components to support production, purchase order planning for finished goods from 3rd party vendors and the Group, optimizing cash flow and inventory investment. This position will oversee a team of 15. Leadership includes driving the Virbac North America Executive Sales & Operations Planning process, developing consensus demand plans, generating supply plans, collaborating with various departments, leading meetings, and fostering the use of metrics for continuous improvement. The role also involves demand planning, supply planning, scheduling, operations planning, customer service, distribution, and new product launch collaboration.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Supply Chain, Engineering, Science, Business or equivalent.
  • APICS - CPIM preferred.
  • 10 years minimum experience in the supply chain, animal health or human pharmaceutical industry, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the Virbac North America Executive Sales & Operations Planning process.
  • Develop consensus demand plan.
  • Generate supply plans supporting the consensus demand plan.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, operations, finance to align on a single unified operating plan.
  • Lead the Executive S&OP meeting and drive discussions leading to decisions.
  • Foster the use of metrics to drive continuous improvement in customer service, financial optimization, and sales.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor team members.
  • Identify key risks and opportunities associated with the ex-Factory demand plans.
  • Coordinate and facilitate a monthly Demand meeting.
  • Submit key messages and recommendations to the Executive S&OP team.
  • Develop long term finished goods and API supply plans.
  • Identify key risks and opportunities associated with the supply plans.
  • Coordinate and facilitate a monthly Supply meeting.
  • Schedule production to support the supply plan.
  • Ensure availability of all raw materials and components.
  • Monitor inbound raw materials and components.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and attainment.
  • Deliver products to customers on time.
  • Provide timely support of customer needs and effective issue resolution.
  • Optimize warehousing, distribution, and logistics costs.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Organization for new product launches.
