In alignment with the mission and vision of the YMCA of Honolulu, the Director of Student Success leads the strategic management, development, and delivery of high-quality college-aged and career readiness programs under the supervision of the Program Executive Director of Teens & Young Adults. This role ensures operational excellence through adherence to YMCA policies while advancing Association-wide goals. Core responsibilities include cultivating a strong team culture through leadership and professional development, driving program growth and retention, managing budgets and reporting, and delivering comprehensive college- and career-focused support services. The Director maintains advanced relationship fluency across the full college-to-career pipeline, intentionally engaging participants prior to college, supporting them through college and career preparation, guiding alumni into early careers, and building strong partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations. Success in this role depends on balanced, stage-appropriate relationship management across this interconnected ecosystem. Additionally, the Director plays a central role in advancing the Atherton Y’s focus areas of College Readiness, Career Exploration, and Service Learning through the design and implementation of impactful YMCA opportunities.
