POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Student Success and Evaluation is a full-time faculty member (rank commensurate with experience) serving within the Physician Assistant Department. This position is responsible for the planning, development, and management of all activities related to evaluating and enhancing student success across both the didactic and clinical phases of the PA programs. This position is a hybrid role and requires frequent travel to the Richmond campus as needed. As such, preference will be given to candidates in Virginia and the surrounding states. This individual plays a key role in enhancing learner achievement by analyzing student performance data, identifying trends and implementing targeted support strategies to improve outcomes aligned with the program’s student learning outcomes and PA competencies. The Director collaborates closely with program leadership to inform curricular refinement through the review of course-level and standardized assessment performance, and supports the implementation of data-driven interventions. In support of the program’s continuous self-assessment and quality improvement efforts, the Director contributes to the program’s compliance with ARC-PA accreditation standards by compiling and analyzing data essential to ongoing self-study and reporting processes. The Director also works to maximize student access to academic support services and retention resources by developing customized learning plans and utilizing program-based learning platforms. The Director of Student Success and Evaluation will possess extensive knowledge of Physician Assistant education and demonstrate a commitment to supporting student achievement, faculty collaboration, and program excellence. This role is essential in fostering a learning environment consistent with the mission and values of South University, which emphasize academic quality, innovation, and service to students. This position offers a $10,000 signing bonus.
